Our ability to transform current global issues (e.g., climate change, dwindling resources, and endless war) depends on whether people are willing and able to imagine and create other possible futures.

Projects in my classes are informed by the notion that language — and, by extension, images — define the limits, and possibilities, of human imagination and thought. My classes involve active hands-on learning of computer applications (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Internet Explorer, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver) and hardware (e.g. PCs, Macs, digital camera, scanner, printer)

Digital-Media - explores the complex media world we live in. Students will use multiple computer applications such as: Garage Band, Imovie, Photoshop, and Alice (3-D Computer Programming) to create media. Using both sound and images express ourselves.

Graphic Arts - will use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to create digital documents, focusing on typography, principles of design, desktop publishing and contemporary design.

Digital Photography - is an introduction to working digitally with photographs, students will learn to use digital cameras and Adobe Photoshop to produce images which show technical and conceptual skill.

Web Design - focuses on the overall production processes surrounding web site design with emphasis on design elements involving layout, navigation and interactivity to communicate content.

Web Intern - A Web intern will work on the schools website while learning html, contribute and dreamweaver. They need to be a junior or senior interested in computer science or graphic arts. Need to have good file management skills, able to work with school faculty and be self directed.
