CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS
Drama:
The Theatre Department at LMHS encourages diversity and the exploration of the human experience. Helping students develop a sense of community and social responsibility. Theatre has the ability to affect students on a personal level by contributing to mental, emotional, and social growth. We prepare students for life in the real world through the development of interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. We believe theatre communicates the fact that as many ways as we humans are different, we share common bonds and can connect with everyone on some level, bringing new understanding and compassion to our lives.
Newspaper:
The LMHS newspaper, The Dodgetown News, was established in 2007 to provide Lee High students with a source for school news. The Publication is produced completely in-house and utilizes Microsoft Publisher. The Dodgetown News also holds a paid subscription to the ASNE/MCT Campus High School Newspaper Service. The Dodgetown News is named after the town of Lee's original settlement which was originated by Seth Barlow in 1772.
Yearbook:
Our mission is to create a book that displays the diversity of our student body and the achievements of our athletes and extracurricular activities. To foster school spirit and wildcat pride. If you would like to help, always smile for the photographer.
National Honor Society:
The history of NHS at Lee High School began in 1917. The society was formed to recognize students of good character with an outstanding academic record. Since 1970, Lee High School has inducted hundreds of students into the society. Each year NHS students are responsible for participating in a number of service activities throughout the year. Students share their scholarship through homework assistance and tutoring. Members represent the Lee High School student body at numerous school functions. Through out fundraisers, we support both local and global charities.
